There is no doubt that the National Alliance continues to make progress, but often it is slow progress, and moreover, we still have a long, long way to go. We have fought many battles -- won some, and lost some -- and there are many more uphill battles for us in the future. But life itself is a struggle, for the race as well as for the individual, and we must accept struggle as an inevitable companion of life. If we are not struggling to improve ourselves, we are not living. The same is true for our race. Assuming we succeed in achieving our most immediate goal of White living space, the struggle will continue, although in a different form.
At present, we are struggling against our racial enemies and against our own kinsmen who are unwilling to turn from their present course down the path of genetic annihilation. Our main focus now is on recruitment, organization, and action for the purpose of "breaking free" from the current multiracial society. Later, with the "breaking free" accomplished, the struggle will be directed toward organizing our White society in keeping with the values and traditions of Western man.
The National Alliance is dedicated to putting the White race back on the path to its destiny: back on the path to genetic improvement for our race as a whole, and back to the path of a life of meaning and purpose for every White man and woman.
It goes without saying that, as a whole, our race has been off the Path for quite some time. Likewise, the individuals comprising our folk have misunderstood their true purpose, choosing instead purposes that are counter to -- or at least not in line with -- a White person's true destiny.
But the main reason for our stumbling off the Path is the failure of those Whites in the leadership strata to lead our kinsmen in ways that enhance the collective life of the White community. Clearly, at this time, we cannot expect all members of our race to comprehend their life's meaning, and this fact was no less true for the majority of our kinsmen of the past.
We in the National Alliance are working on that issue, of course, but the truth is that we have been handed a world in which White leaders -- who should have known better -- have consistently shown that they themselves did not and do not understand their own destiny; or, if they do, they are deliberately acting in ways contrary to it. They have chosen the easy way, the way of comfort and compromise, the way of the shortsighted. They have manipulated their own nations -- their own kinsmen, their own people -- into fighting fratricidal wars against brothers who speak a different language but share the same soul. They have failed to take progressive action in disarming the purveyors of half-truths and outright lies. They have enacted legislation that legalized and encouraged dysgenic racial policies. Most recently, they have worked hand-in-glove with our people's eternal Enemy in outlawing the dissemination of the truth about the nature and purpose of that Enemy.
And the result of the masses of honest and hard-working White people following these shortsighted leaders has been one disaster after another. Time after time, our race has been split into mutually-hostile factions and sent off to destroy itself. One remembers the endless religious wars between Catholics and Protestants in Europe following the Reformation. The many wars of petty European nationalism since the fall of Rome in the West, all the way up through the Age of Imperialism to the beginning of the last century, also come to mind. Like brothers who share a bedroom, we seem to spend more time fighting each other than helping one another, despite the fact that we are part of the same family.
Many times throughout history we have marched off to claim new land and subjugate alien peoples. But rather than drive the natives out, we often enslaved them or allowed them to live among us as a separate community within our body politic. This unnatural balancing act might last for perhaps a few centuries, but -- on a historical time scale -- it wasn't long before the well-meaning laws of segregation broke down, and the blood of the Aryan conquerors had been swallowed up by the overwhelming mass of non-White natives. In the army of the White Race, it was like an entire corps simply deserted, leaving the rest of the army -- that is, our direct ancestors -- to carry on the fight without them.
In the 20th Century, of course, the self-cannibalization of our race reached new heights. The First World War inflicted an incalculable blow to the strength and power of our people, particularly to the Germanic populations of France, Britain, and Germany. The Bolshevik Revolution in Russia decimated two generations of some of the best of our Slavic kinsmen. And the Second World War destroyed much of just about everything that mattered: the technological supremacy of the West; the firm grip that we, as a race, had on our own destiny; and the gene pool of the entire White race.
And it was in the 20th Century, too, that the role of the Jews in our race's dire situation became crystal clear. Our strengths led to our victories throughout the centuries and, in the same way, our weaknesses were the cause of most of our failures during those centuries. Within the last hundred years or so, however, our failures became more and more the result of a synergistic effect between our innate shortcomings and the machinations of the Jews. The honest and perceptive 20th-Century observers among our people soon realized that the Jews had pinpointed our weaknesses and were working hard to exacerbate the effects of those weaknesses on the entrenched Gentile society. The result has been the increasing rate at which the White world has become a dirty and blurred mockery of its former self, and it is with the hope that -- by living our individual lives in the right way -- we can change the White world for the better.
We have no one to blame but ourselves for our failures of the past. Our kinsmen of Europe shouldn't have allowed their religious fervor to destroy their common sense. They shouldn't have let petty nationalism and greed dull their wits to the point where they were willing to kill their racial kinsmen and sacrifice themselves over who had the right to ship tea and silk to lucrative markets in foreign lands. They shouldn't have let their own smooth-talkers and the alien stringpullers get them so worked up that they gave up everything to destroy the very foundations of the West.
Amidst all of these painful memories of our glorious race's past, the very encouraging good news is that there is absolutely no reason today why we shouldn't have learned from all our mistakes. Our race has been suffering from a completely irresponsible lack of leadership, and we in the Alliance must now lead the way to the future. The historical record is clear, and in the 21st Century we are privileged in that there should no longer be any doubt as to where we need to go and what we need to do. In brief: We need to totally remove the Jewish influence from our society, we need a homogeneous White nation with adequate natural resources, and we need a society whose highest ideal -- the ideal upon which every decision is based -- is that the White gene pool must be secure and must improve over time.
Achieving such a feat will require a fight, almost certainly the biggest fight that our race has yet encountered, but we take comfort in the fact that it is a fight that really matters. In fact, among all the struggles that one could become embroiled in today, Our Cause is by far the most important one, because without victory in this struggle -- our struggle -- all else is meaningless.
Our Cause is not a small-scale struggle. It is not a battle over a disputed border between one White nation and another. It is not a battle over whether this or that way of government is best. It is not a battle between two groups who can't seem to agree on whose conception of "God" is the right one. Our Cause is the struggle for the survival of our kind.
As I've said many times before, the struggle that we in the National Alliance are spearheading is, at this time, an ideological struggle, not a martial one. It is a fight that pits our will and determination against the money and power of the enemy. Our Cause is a fight that will succeed only if we can maintain our vision, inform and inspire other Whites, and organize them for effective action directed at achieving our ideals. But will alone cannot get the job done; besides a strong will, we need to establish an ever-expanding infrastructure and plan out all the logistics for extracting our people from the current cesspool of a society so that we can build a new world.
This means that not only do we in the Alliance have to keep our own house in order and moving forward, but also that we must make every effort to confront the rest of our people with the truth about our race's plight. And because trying to open the hearts and minds of people who have been taught from infancy that the heart and mind must remain closed when it comes to race, that means that we face a lot of disappointment ahead.
The Russian author Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, winner of the 1970 Nobel Prize in Literature, is perhaps one of the most discerning observers when it comes to the heights as well as the shortcomings of his fellow men. Solzhenitsyn spent the eleven years between 1945 and 1956 in various camps of the Gulag, the forced-labor camps imposed by the Bolshevik regime on the hapless citizens of the Soviet Union. He has written several novels that are set in the Gulag, but his most famous work is the three-volume, semi-autobiographical exposé of the camp system entitled the Gulag Archipelago.
In the Archipelago, Solzhenitsyn tells of a time when he was being moved from one camp to another. After he had changed out of his camp clothes, his NKVD escorts took him aboard a public train where, for the first time in years, he had the chance to observe "free" Soviet citizens. After overhearing bits and pieces of their trivial conversations, Solzenitsyn despaired at their ever being able to appreciate the meaning of life as he has come to understand it in the camps, amid all the torture, filth, starvation, disease, and work regimens that literally killed millions of Russians -- not to mention the grotesque sadism of the NKVD personnel. He writes:
"…to you the true measure of things in the Universe is so clear! The measure of all weaknesses and passions! And these sinners aren't fated to perceive it. The only one there who is alive, truly alive, is corporeal you, and all these others are simply mistaken in thinking themselves alive. And an unbridgeable chasm divides you!…And how can you bring it home to them? By an inspiration? A dream? Brothers! People! Why has life been given you?"
Perhaps you have, at some point, felt this sense of frustration in discussing any of various issues with non-racialist Whites; I know I have. Everything that is so clear and obvious to us is not at all clear or obvious to them, and it is -- and will continue to be -- aggravating to try to get through to them. But the good news is that our mainstream kinsmen share with us our race-soul. In them as well as in us, when the artificial barriers in their minds have collapsed and the right emotional chord is struck, many of them will feel and respond as we feel and respond. Our task in this fight is to contribute to the crumbling of the barriers that the Jews have helped to build in the minds of our kinsmen, and to strike the right chord for each of them. If we do that, the best of them will instinctively gravitate toward us.
All of us can, to some degree, envision the better and brighter world that will be ours if we are victorious in the struggle for our people's freedom. On the other hand, many well-meaning Whites have set out to save our people from their present plight and failed, and because of that, many believe that the fight that lies before us cannot be won. But it can be. If we dare to believe that not only CAN it be done, but also that WE ARE THE ONES to do it, then our chances of success increase. The makers of history are those who succeed in spite of all the doubts and criticisms of the unbelievers.
In the early part of the 20th Century, for instance, few people believed that anyone could fly solo and nonstop across the Atlantic Ocean. In 1919, the New York hotel owner Raymond Orteig was so sure that such a feat couldn't be done that he offered a $25,000 reward to the first person to do it. Orteig's doubts -- and those of most of the public -- were reinforced when several men perished in attempting the deed.
But a young man who flew the mail between St. Louis and Chicago thought otherwise. He believed that with a custom-designed plane that incorporated a few modifications that he himself had come up with, a man could, in fact, fly solo and nonstop between Europe and America. So he talked nine St. Louis businessmen into financing his gamble, and to honor the city that supported him, he named his new plane the Spirit of St. Louis.
Eight years had passed since Raymond Orteig offered his $25,000 reward, and still it remained unclaimed. But in the spring of 1927, the Spirit of St. Louis was ready, and so was its daring young pilot, Charles Lindbergh. And sure enough, the right combination of intelligence, determination, and reliable equipment were all it took for Lindbergh to win the prize. He flew nonstop from New York to Paris -- by himself -- in 33-and-a-half hours. Lindbergh gained worldwide renown and became a national hero; he traveled all around the country, rode in parades, and gave countless speeches. He played a strong role in influencing the development of America's aircraft industry and, later, was outspoken in his criticism of the forces pushing the U.S. toward war during the late '30s and early '40s.
Lindbergh started small, but through his own hard work and ingenuity he had a large effect on the society of his time. All of the influence that Lindbergh had later in life was due to his believing in what few at first had the courage to believe in…and then doing it.
If we really believe that we can secure a White homeland -- and then have the determination to do it -- think of all of the possibilities for our people that will open up. This is the one fight that matters. We've got a long way to go, but all we need are the vehicle and the collective will. The vehicle is the worldview of the National Alliance; and as for the collective will, I can't think of a better example to follow than that of Charles Lindbergh. And there is no reason why each of us listening here can't be inspired to also stake our claim on the future.
