Every day, the National Alliance continues its struggle to attain a homogeneous White living space for our people. For the White men and women taking an active part in that struggle, it might be worth a few minutes of our time to take a step back and consider, once again, exactly why it is that we fight -- why, in fact, we must fight. In addition, for those Whites who are new to racialist philosophy, these thoughts may help to clear up certain misconceptions they have and -- I hope -- will spur them to make the decision to participate actively in Our Cause, the cause that we in the National Alliance believe to be the great mission of our people in this century.
Because most people in my audience already have leanings in favor of the ideals of the National Alliance, one might think that we should spend most of our time here reinforcing the convictions of the activists and motivating the fence-sitters -- those whose commitment is limited to stating, "I believe," those who are holding back in putting their shoulders to the wheel.
I do plan to "preach to the choir," so to speak, but we should also consider the mainstream Whites -- those who, at the moment, either oppose us or don't seem to care one way or the other about racial matters. After all, we White racialists -- not ideologically, but physically, at least -- live and work in the world of the mainstream. We see and talk to these people every day. These mainstream Whites share our blood, our cultural heritage, our history, and our destiny. And we hope that many of them, at some point, will awaken and join in our fight. Part of our task is to awaken them; we can't simply write them off.
So why don't people fight? Why don't our White kinsmen take up the battle standard and build with us a new, White nation that will be immeasurably better in every way than the decadent, materialistic society of today?
Broadly speaking, all of the reasons that mainstream Whites have for refusing to join the National Alliance and other active White racialists -- that is, for mentally staying in the mainstream -- can be classified as relating to two main issues: information and morality.
The information issue comes into play in various ways. One way is through a lack of information. On the whole, our mainstream kinsmen are kept completely in the dark about the true plight of our people worldwide. They aren't told that our birthrate is well below the replacement level or that our young people are more and more choosing to mate outside our circle of folk. Their faces aren't rubbed in statistics about how the percentage of non-Whites has been steadily rising year after year in the traditionally White nations of North America and Europe. They aren't encouraged to pay attention to the demographic time bomb, which ticks louder and louder with each passing year.
And while they are steered away from any information about the plight of the White race, our mainstream kinsmen are, on the other hand, swamped with information about everything else: the economy, Social Security, medical insurance, world politics, and many other issues. Of course, all of these things relate to the Cause of the National Alliance, and they are issues that we hope someday to be able to deal with successfully, but they are not the things that a race on the verge of annihilation should consider to be the most important things -- things that are most worthy of careful contemplation and measured action.
Besides the news, mainstream Whites are kept from thinking too much about anything through the media of entertainment. Sports has taken a top place on the television totem pole; even without the full range of cable television offerings, one can find an athletic event to watch at almost any hour, day or night. The sitcoms and movies take our minds away from the real world and yet are engineered with such care that the fictitious characters and plots are able to mold almost imperceptibly the thoughts and feelings of the unsuspecting viewer.
Now, the very unpleasant truth that tells volumes about this campaign of non-information or misinformation is that Jews hold most of the important posts of power in the media world. I say "unpleasant truth" because most people outside the White racialist Cause, even on the slim chance that they catch wind of the idea of Jewish media control, refuse to believe it. In fact, they will flatly deny this fact even after they have been shown the names and all of the media outlets controlled by those names. The facts about Jewish media power are so many that I'm not going to take the time here to document them -- others have done so much better than I could have done -- but I will state in passing that the Jews began their first assaults on the American media more than a century ago. Those first assaults and the later ones have resulted today in an almost, but not quite, total monopoly.
It is because of this near-monopoly that most of our mainstream kinsmen don't hear about the issues that concern us most. On rare occasions, of course, a relevant fact will happen to tunnel through the barrier of Jewish media power. If, for example, a champagne-sipping celebrity makes an unguarded, chuckling comment about how nearly all of the Hollywood heavyweights are Jews, several steps are taken. The celebrity will be made to recant his statement. The media front-men will knowingly shake their heads. The late-night comedians will sarcastically take the same view as the celebrity, giving both the studio audience and the millions of viewers at home the chance to laugh at such "backward" and "idiotic" "notions." Sadly, as the result of such conditioning, mainstream Whites simply dismiss any fact of real importance to our race -- for example, the projected racial makeup of the United States in the middle of this century, if current trends continue.
So, mainly due to the Jewish control of the mass media, the overwhelming majority of our kinsmen don't know the truth about the seriousness of our race's condition. Unfortunately for them, however, the claim that ignorance absolves one of responsibility doesn't really apply here. Although Jewish media control ensures that the truth stays hidden -- for the most part -- the fact remains that the information about the role of the Jews in the media, about population trends, and about every other question of current or historical significance is available to anyone who has the courage to seek it out. This is especially true since the advent of the Internet, which can be used for free at nearly all public libraries. We racialists must conclude that most of our people don't really want to know the truth right now. They will seek it out when they are ready; I just hope they don't wait too long and that it hasn't been outlawed by then.
There are, however, a growing number of Whites who are becoming aware of the mission of the National Alliance. In the world of ideas, this mission is to educate and inspire an ever-increasing number of our people as to the importance and necessity of the survival and progress of our race. In the world of geopolitics, this mission is to secure a homogeneous White nation, a homeland in which our people will be free to follow the yearnings of our unique race-soul. And once a White mainstreamer learns about us and our program, his reasons for not becoming involved shift from the lack-of-information category to the morality category, both of which I mentioned earlier.
Some of these Whites who have heard of us are vehemently opposed to us and our ideals on moral grounds. Our National Office gets dozens of e-mails from these people every month, e-mails strident with indignation at our rejection of multiracialism and our plans for White self-determination. Since our values don't coincide with theirs, we don't have much to say to these people. Arguing isn't going to change either our minds or theirs. If their minds are ever to change, it will be because they willed such a change upon themselves. I am honored that they believe the National Alliance to be enough of a threat to their current belief system that they take time out of their days to write to us. I can only leave them with two ideas for them to consider. One: the demonstrable, scientific facts -- the verifiable statistics -- support our contention that the races differ in their innate faculties and that, for its survival, the bulk of our race requires isolation from the non-White races. Two: many of our most dedicated National Alliance members began their racialist journeys in your shoes.
But many other members of our growing audience agree in a general way with the ideology of the National Alliance and other White racialists, but they have been hesitant to make a commitment -- again on moral grounds. Perhaps they haven't yet been able to muster the requisite moral toughness to take the significant step of admitting that race does matter. Some have shied away from becoming members, perhaps justifying their inaction in their own minds with unsupported claims such as: "Well, at least the White race won't become extinct during MY lifetime." Others are afraid that their employers will find out and fire them, or that the government will learn of their membership and audit their tax returns.
Other Whites have seen the beauty of our vision and have become members of the Alliance, but they aren't yet activists. Perhaps these people, too, are worried about their jobs or about Big Brother. Maybe they aren't active because they are afraid that close family members or their neighbors will find out. Especially for newer members, these concerns are very real, and most of the current activists of the Alliance have had similar concerns at some point along the way. Naturally, no White man or woman of honor wants to sully the family name deliberately; no one wants to ostracize himself from his friends and neighbors. But when we compare these short-term, personal concerns with the long-term, collective concerns of our whole people. Well, there is no comparison. The right choice -- the moral choice -- is to actively participate in the National Alliance's program, although it often takes time for an individual to convince himself of that fact.
So why must we fight? Why is choosing to take an active role in our effort to build a better world the highest moral choice one can make?
The biologists tell us that the first principle of all life is that it strives to live. Individual organisms give remarkable demonstrations of this fact. A plant will struggle to force its way through the rocky soil toward the Sun; a hunted animal will run if it can and, if cornered, will fight with extraordinary strength in an effort to live.
And, although the multiracialists don't like the idea, the fact is that Nature has decreed that the individual lives not just for himself; he lives as a member of a group. Let's take just one example. The sex instinct is one of Nature's most powerful contrivances for ensuring that an individual maintains his connection with the group. Not only does the sex instinct maintain an individual's connection with another individual, it also results in the creation of more such individuals, each of which is more or less a genetic replica of the parents. Compared to the parents, the offspring look the same, act the same, and have the same innate impulses -- all of which identify them with every other individual of the same species and set them apart from all other species. The life of the individual, whether he knows it or not, is designed to give life back to the group.
A corollary to the individual's desire to live is seen in the group's even stronger desire to live. Both the society as a whole and the individuals of that society instinctively understand that the group's survival overrides individual survival. This fact is implicit and obvious in the annals of world history, and it is truly remarkable that most people today fail to acknowledge such a universal truth.
For instance, from the dawn of history, societies have sent their men off to war, knowing full well that some of them will not return alive. The men of those societies accepted that task dutifully, and the cowards and shirkers who didn't were mercilessly hunted down and killed as failing to represent the dignity of the society. But every member of the group recognized that, in a choice between which part -- the individual or the group -- was more worthy to live, the choice was clear: the group. Therefore, in terms of morality, the moral choice was for an individual to acknowledge the group's stronger claim to importance and to act to ensure the group's survival above his own.
And men have been more than willing to lay down their lives if they believe it will help to ensure the survival of the group. Countless are the stories of warriors, past and present, who chose to sacrifice themselves for the cause (that is, the society and its ideals) for which they fought. Humans instinctively value their kind and the well-being of their descendants. Furthermore, this sacrificial behavior is not limited to humans; far from it. Individual animals have chosen death in an effort to save the herd or their young. Nature's instructions are everywhere the same: life is precious, but the life of the group is more precious.
And while an individual may sacrifice his life for his group, never will an entire group of organisms willfully destroy themselves. Never will a group consciously sacrifice themselves wholesale for the benefit of another group. Never, for example, has a whole tribe offered themselves up to a competitor, to be destroyed without a fight. To be sure, tribes have accepted enslavement (usually after a fight, however), but enslavement doesn't necessarily mean the certain death of the group; the group may be able to maintain its identity within the body politic of the conquerors, and may eventually find the strength to throw off its chains of servitude.
The only reason that groups, tribes, peoples, and even whole nations of people have disappeared throughout history is because they lost their grip on the thread of who they were; they lost their identity. They forgot their history and they let go of their own culture; in whole or in part, they embraced the culture of another people whom they had either conquered or by whom they had been conquered.
And once a whole people begins to stray from the path that it took in becoming what it is, the worst thing imaginable for that group begins to happen: the group, Nature's holiest unit of structure, begins to die. Individual deaths, though deplorable, can be accepted as long as the security of the group remains intact; and, ultimately, of course, there is no escape from death for the individual anyway.
But, unlike for us as individuals, death is not a foregone conclusion for groups. A group was in place before the coming of the individual, and the group will remain once the individual has gone. The real issue, then, becomes: What was the status of the group at the individual's passing, and how does that compare with the group's status before? Did the individual act in accord with Nature's foremost principle; that is, did he use his one chance at life to protect the group that brought him into being?
Our race -- the White race -- is a unique creation of Nature. Our civilizations, our literature and science and philosophy, our religious instincts, and indeed, our whole conception of the Universe -- all of these set us apart from every other race. I'm not going to dispute the fact that our people have made many mistakes down through the ages. And racially conscious members of other races will contend that their groups, too, are unique creations; I'm not going to dispute that claim, either.
But what I will dispute most vehemently is the prevalent notion that our people have no right -- as a group -- to determine their own destiny. The men in power, of whatever race or creed, are united on the idea that, while it is acceptable for individuals to seek their own destiny as they see fit, the White race has no such right. The powerbrokers use every device at their disposal in an effort, firstly, to achieve our physical proximity to other races, and secondly, to break down our connection to each other, to our common past, to our culture to our identity. And when identity is lost, group death follows shortly thereafter.
Furthermore, those who seek our demise today will not change their minds tomorrow. They will not suddenly seal up our borders, repatriate the non-Whites presently living in our countries, and halt the endless propaganda campaign that is seen in the schools, in the entertainment industry, and in the news. In other words, they aren't going to give us what our race needs in order to survive: our own land and a progressive White government.
And that means that we must fight. We must fight for the security and survival of our people. It is simply the way of things that Nature has decreed that the individual must act, not necessarily in his own best interests, but in the interests of the group. That is what we must do, and if the overwhelming majority of our people don't yet understand that. Well, that's what the National Alliance is trying to do -- through our books and other printed media, through our Internet resources, and through this radio broadcast.
And although the well-being of the race overshadows the well-being of any of us individually, it isn't as though what we do as individuals doesn't matter; quite to the contrary. Acting on behalf of our people gives our individual lives meaning and purpose, and our race desperately needs more individuals in this audience to answer the call to action.
I will leave you with the opening lines from the poem The Law of the Wolves by the British poet Rudyard Kipling, the 1907 Nobel Laureate in Literature. The message in these lines is one that we must repeat in our own minds -- and those of our children -- until we come to accept it as second nature, as our ancestors did.
Now this is the law of the jungle,
as old and as true as the sky,
And the wolf that shall keep it may prosper,
but the wolf that shall break it must die.
As the creeper that girdles the tree trunk,
the law runneth forward and back;
For the strength of the pack is the wolf,
and the strength of the wolf is the pack.
Fighting for our people is the moral choice; all the evidence of science and history support this statement. I hope you will make the conscious decision to play a part in securing the glorious future for our people that we in the National Alliance envision.
